The Transtech Center is a new high-tech business park specifically designed to support the communication, power, and workforce needs of technology based businesses and e-commerce. It is located on Gabel Road just north of the new Shiloh Interchange on I-90 in Billings, Montana.
The Transtech Center offers a great deal of flexibility with regard to land and office space including build-to-suit options. It provides state of the art facilities in a location with unparalleled quality of life and special incentives for new and expanding businesses.
History of the Transtech Center:In 2000, Bottrell Family Investments purchased the Transtech Center from the Big Sky Economic Development Authority (BSEDA). The Trade Port Authority & BSEDA determined that the property could best be developed privately, and BFI's strategy aligned with their vision for developing new business growth.
It is presently home to eight companies located in four buildings with three additional facilities under construction.
The Transtech Center is now in it’s fourth year of development.
Campus Environment:The Transtech Center is laid out in a campus environment of professional tenants. It's extensive landscaping provides an open and peaceful environment, designed to emphasize the beauty of nature.
The Transtech Center offers an extensive network of trails which are tied into the Billings Bike Network system. The Bike and Pedestrian Trails allow for alternative methods of commuting as well as providing an opportunity for employees to enjoy the outdoors in their free time.
Ponds and Streams:Water features are an integral part of the design of the Transtech Center. Numerous streams and ponds are easily accessible to all Transtech Center tenants. Fish on your lunch hour? Why not!
The Transtech Center is fully equipped to provide all of the services your business needs, including city water and sewer, natural gas by MDU, and electricity by Northwestern Energy. The Transtech Center also features a redundant fiber optic network, a high-tech Data Center, and CLEC services to provide the greatest amount of flexibility to it's tenants. The Transtech Center also offers economic video conferencing and high speed data transfer capabilities.
Data Center:The Transtech Center will incorporate a data center which will provide co-location facilities for telecommunications companies of all sizes. It will also provide the capability of secure off-site data archival. The data center is expected to draw a variety of CLECs and ISPs which will further enhance the technological infrastructure of the Transtech Center.
Current tenants include Electrical Consultants, Inc., Engineering, Inc., Farm Credit Bureau, USDA Risk Management, Land Design, Inc., and Diamond B Companies, Inc. Recently, Wyo-Ben, Inc. and Briggs Distributing have broken ground at the Transtech Center, and Stillwater Mining Company has chosen the Transtech Center for their world headquarters. All of these companies recognize the value in the strategic location, room for growth, and technology infrastructure presented by the Transtech Center.
Future Plans:The Data Center and the Tech Plaza are two of the most prominent projects planned for implementation in the near future. The Data Center will provide enhancements to the technology already in place at the Transtech Center providing tenants with a wide array of telecommunication features and options. The Tech Plaza will be a state of the art showcase professional facility and is slated to house an incubator facility for small and growing technology based businesses.
